Marsha McClellan
ERYT 200
Marsha McClellan the director of The Yoga Connection received her
teacher
certification in the Hatha style yoga using proper anatomical alignment
from the Health
Advantage Yoga Center in Herndon, VA and a certification in Yin Yoga
at the Asheville Yoga Center. She has been a student
of yoga since 1995, studying with Doug Keller, Susan Van Nuys,
John Friend, and Betsy Downing. She most recently studied extenstively
with Judith Lasater and Rod Stryker. Marsha encourages her students
to make yoga become a part of their everyday life, have compassionate
self awareness and have fun with yoga. |

Wes Lorber R.Y.T.
Wes Lorber received his certification from Kripalu Institute in Vinyasa
Yoga, which encourages compassion toward the body and mind while practicing
in a deep, satisfying way. His yogic journey began with meditation, which
he has practiced since age 16. As a musician, he used meditation as a tool
to calm and center himself for performances and recitals. Wes later discovered
Hatha Yoga taking a class in college. Having experienced profound relief
from depression and addictive behavior patterns, Wes has dedicated himself
to a strong yoga practice. He has studied with Amy Weintrab, Jurian Hughes,
Jovinna Chan, and Randall Williams. "Practice, and all is coming!" Sri

Jen Martin R.Y.T.
Jen Martin has been practicing yoga on since 1995. She began
to seriously study yoga in 2005 at the Columbia Yoga Center in
Columbia MD and continued her studies at the Health Advantage Yoga
Center in Herndon VA. She received her teaching certfication at
H.A.Y.C. in 2008 studing under Susan Van Nuys and Doug Keller.
She believes the best thing about yoga is that it is good for people
of all ages and all levels. |

Lorraine McCleary R.Y.T.
Lorraine McCleary is a Physical Therapist who began to study yoga
more seriously in 2000 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She found
that
her yoga practice gave her new energy, stress relief and strength of body and
heart. She has studied in the Inyengar and Anusara styles and completed her
teacher training at Health Advantage Yoga Center in Herndon, VA in 2006 and
received her certification in Yin Yoga at Asheville Yoga Center. Lorraine
would like to share the healing art of yoga with those who wish to live each
day with strength and compassion of heart |

Audra Monk R.Y.T.
Audra Monk has been a student of yoga since 2000. She began
teaching in 2002 and
earned her teaching certification from Sun and
Moon Yoga Studio. She truly believes that yoga is for everybody and
encourages students to be where they are in their body on each day.
She loves that strength and grace come together so beautifully in
yoga, leaving us with a feeling of peace and power after our
practice. Audra teaches yoga with a lighthearted style, knowing that
if we enjoy the journey, we will continue to explore. |

Stephanie Ogg R.Y.T.
Stephanie Ogg started studying Iyengar Yoga in Namibia, SW Africa
in 2002.
In 2003, she practiced Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga, teaching classes
in the
Vinyasa style for two years beginning in 2005. Upon moving to Virginia
in
2007, she has furthered her practice by studying yoga at The Yoga
Connection and Health Advantage Yoga Center (HAYC) in Herndon,
VA. She received
her certification at HAYC. Stephanie is looking forward to sharing
the
knowledge she has gained and to guiding her students, through yoga
practice,
into feeling a sense of well-being, where the mind, body and spirit
are in
harmony. |

Shernita Parker R.Y.T.
Shernita Parker began practicing yoga in 2001 to find relief
from lower back pain caused by pregnancy, but quickly found
it offered so many benefits. As her own interest in yoga grew
and she became more committed to her practice, she knew she
wanted to share her enthusiasm and dedication to yoga with others.
Shernita received her certification at the Health Advantage Yoga
Center.
Shernita believes yoga is the perfect tool to help you deal with
life’s challenges and more fully experience life’s joy. |

Ely Razavi R.Y.T.
Ely Razavi has been practicing yoga since 1995. She
received her certification in the Hatha style yoga using proper anatomical
alignment from The Health
Advantage Yoga Center in Herndon, Virginia. She has studied
with Doug Keller, Susan Van Nuys, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Jamie
Allison. Ely believes yoga is the perfect means to achieve inner
peace through creating harmony within the mind, body and soul. |

Kat Reeves R.Y.T.
Kat first began studying yoga in Hong Kong in 2003 with Sri Swami Vidyanand.
Upon completion of her studies in 2004, Kat returned to the United States.
She began classes at the Health Advantage Yoga Center(HAYC) in 2005, and
completed the HAYC teacher training course with Susan Van Nuys and Doug
Keller in 2008.áKat believes that no matter how long one has been
practicing yoga, there's always something new to find in every pose. Sheáloves
helping students exploreáthe subtleties that yoga has to offer. |

Christina Nienaber Shotwell R.Y.T.
Christina Nienaber Shotwell has been studying at The Yoga
Connection since 2004. She initially pursued yoga for smoking cessation
support. Yoga has since touched many aspects of her life; sustaining
her through two healthy pregnancies, enriching her relationships
and developing her spirit by learning to be open and in the moment.
She received her certification through the Health Advantage Yoga
Center. Christina hopes to help others find their unique path to
emotional, physical and spiritual enlightenment through yoga instruction. |

Nancy Talley R.Y.T.
Nancy Talley has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She completed
her 200 RYT at the White Lotus Foundation in CA. Nancy began her yogic
journey in 1999 while working in the fashion industry in Los Angeles. The
pressure of looming deadlines left her feeling stressed and unable to sleep
well, so she began talking yoga classes. With the encouragement of her
friends, family and yoga instructors she decided yoga teacher training
a natural
choice.

Kelly Tynes R.Y.T., C.M.T
Kelly Tynes is a nationally certified recreational
therapist, massage therapist, and yoga instructor. Kelly's teaching
is inspired by the Anusara style, studying primarily with Betsy
Downing,
Susan Van Nuys, and Doug Keller. Her teaching style is unique
in that she incorporates all knowledge of her past therapies
to aid the students in their personal growth. She shares with
her students a benefit of learning how to live in the present
moment; it truly is a gift. |

Jennifer Zoerkler R.Y.T.
Jennifer began studying Iyengar style yoga at the Health
Advantage Yoga Center with Betsy Downing in the early '90's to help
manage
migraine headaches. Her practice has been growing since 2005 while
studying at
The Yoga Connection. She has received her certification at HAYC
and focuses on yoga therapy to guide students with special medical
and physical
needs. Yoga is a great de-stressor for today's world and a perfect
therapy to
calm the mind and the body, no matter what condition they may be
in! |
